Buying
How do I bid?
Once you have registered and entered a valid credit/debit card to your payment methods you will be able to bid on our auctions. When bidding simply enter your maximum bid and our system will place automatic bids on your behalf up to that maximum bid. For example if the auction is currently at £10,000 and you enter a maximum bid of £12,000, our system will enter a bid of £10,100. If other bids are made our system will automatically increase your bid up to £12,000.
What are the buying fees?
We charge 5% of the final value, with the minimum charge being £175 and the maximum being £7,500. This is automatically debited from your selected payment method once you win an auction.
How do I get the vehicle if I win?
Once the auction ends, you will receive an email from ourselves. You can then login and complete the process. Once this has been done we will send you the sellers contact information, including address, telephone and payment details. It is then down to you to arrange collection of the vehicle with the seller and make payment directly to the seller, usually via Bank transfer.
How do I pay?
Once you have won an auction, any buyers premium will be automatically taken from your payment method. Once the order has been confirmed we will share the sellers details with you. It will then be down to you to contact the seller and arrange collection of the vehicle and to pay the seller directly.
Can I withdraw?
If you win an auction you have entered into a legal agreement to purchase that vehicle. You and the seller must both agree to cancel the sale. If the seller does not agree then you will be liable for the whole amount and complete the sale.
Can I change or cancel a bid?
Once a bid is placed, it is binding. Make sure you want to buy the vehicle before placing a bid.
Selling
How much does it cost?
We do not charge sellers commission or charge any fees.
How do I get paid?
When the auction ends, the winner will be notified via email and SMS. Once the buyer completes the order we will then send your details to the buyer. It is then for yourself and the buyer to arrange collection of the vehicle and for the buyer to pay the outstanding fee, usually via bank transfer.
What happens when my car sells?
Once your vehicle sells we will notify you via email. Once the order has been made we will give the buyer your details, it is then for yourself and the buyer to arrange collection of the vehicle and for the buyer to pay any outstanding fee.
Who creates the auction?
When you submit your vehicle for selling once of our team will contact you get gather more details and give you an estimate for you vehicle. If you are happy to proceed we will ask for some photos of the vehicle and of any paperwork you have, then one of our team will create the listing for you.
Can I sell if I'm not in the UK?
No, currently we only accept vehicles that are in the UK.
What is a reserve?
A reserve is the minimum you want in order to sell the vehicle. If your reserve is not met, we will contact you to discuss options.
Other
How do I pay for the vehicle?
If you win an auction, you will be notified via email and SMS message (if you subscribed to that service). There will be a link taking you to a checkout screen where you can complete your order but it will be down to you to pay the seller directly upon collection of the vehicle. Our buyers fee will be automatically taken from your chosen payment method. Our payment provider is Stripe, one of the largest providers in the world.
Will I need to tax the vehicle?
Depending on the age of the vehicle, you may still need to tax the vehicle once you collect it from the seller.
Why do you need my bank details?
We ask for your details so that we can send these to the buyer once the order has been placed, this is so the buyer can make direct payment to you upon collection of the vehicle.
